Kendra Osmer, COTA
Miss Kendra is a native to northeast Alabama, where she was born, raised, and currently resides in Woodville, AL. She attended Northeast Alabama Community College where she graduated with an A.A.S. Degree in Massage Therapy. Secondary to wanting a more medical based career, she furthered her education at Wallace State Community College. She received her Associates as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in August of 2018. She began working at The Occupational Therapy Center immediately following graduation. She worked from August to October on a temporary license while she studied for her National Board Certification Exam. She passed her boards testing in October and then became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). She has solely been working in pediatrics since being certified.
She has expanded her knowledge and competency in the Occupational Therapy field by attending CEU courses specifically tailored to the pediatric population. She has been certified in the Learning Without Tears curriculum in order to increase handwriting skills with children of all ages. She also plans to attend an Interactive Metronome Course in the near future.
Her hobbies include crocheting, crafting, and home improvement/DIY projects. She is an active member of the Maysville Church of Christ and the non-profit organization, The Unlimited Potential Place, or the U.P.P. This organization's main focus is to provide sensory friendly events to the children of Northeast Alabama.
